The NR somehow thot that the 2014 rankings were the latest but here's the link to the 2016 data and appearantly the U.S. is now up to the number 11 spot --behind countries like Estonia w/ populations the size of San Diego. If we just look at nations w/ populations at least as big as say, the entire state of California, America goes up to no. 3:
