Russia's Top Gay News Website Banned
Moscow Times ^ | Sep. 19 2016

One of Russia's most popular LGBT news sites has been blocked without warning, its administrators have announced.

A court in the remote Siberian town of Parabel ruled to block BlueSystem.ru, banning the site throughout Russia.

The reason for the ban has not been published on the court's website, and site administrators say that they have not received any explanation for the decision.

BlueSystem.ru received no warning that the case was taking place, and were unable to defend themselves in court, the website's team wrote on their Vkontakte social media page.

The site is visited by 100,000 people a day, according to BlueSystem.ru's administrators. They describe the site as the biggest gay news portal on the Russian Internet.

“The Kremlin is afraid of gays,” the website's team wrote on their Vkontakte social media page. “On the eve of the State Duma elections, the Kremlin mobilized its repressive machine and blocked the most popular Runet gay site.”

Activists have reported an ongoing crackdown on LGBT rights across Russia, including 2013's infamous “gay propaganda law.” ILGA-Europe — the European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association — ranks Russia in 48th place out of 49 European countries for their promotion of LGBT rights.

“The Kremlin is afraid of gays,

Why do they ALWAYS say people are "afraid" of them? I have no fear of them. I am disgusted by their lifestyle and angry that they want to assure compliance and acceptance of their lifestyle through government force, but fear, not a bit.

They might want to fear straights though, the day is coming when either man or God will respond to their lifestyle, then they will know fear.

We better start a war with Russia over this....oops, I think the Uniparty in Washington is already working on that one.

They killed 60 Syrian soldiers and wounded many more during a “cease fire” in Syria and wonder why Russia retaliated by attacking an ‘aid convoy’ around Aleppo.

In the middle of 1941, months before the declaration of war, when FDR sent warships into the Atlantic to escort convoys to England he was goading Hitler into attacking them and there were some “incidents”.

The elites think Putin is Hitler and it look like they are giving him the same treatment hoping to start a war.

Yeah? Well I know - because Russia despises perverts and isn’t about to stand by while they corrupt their culture.

Funny that it took so long for the Russians to do it. If you read FR, you’d think they did it a long time ago.

This is the type of internet control we'll see once the UN takes over.

Only it won't be gay sites that are shut down; it'll be us.

The Kremlin fears no one.

Being ‘anti-queer’, (yes I said that), is not being afraid of queers. It is being against the queer philosophy of life, and those who would have the public bow and scrape and become apologetic towards these few societal aberrations. Should something befall a queer, it would be an opportunity for an upstanding member of society to fill the slot, and be more able to support themselves and their family.

They’re projecting their own fear. Deep down inside they know homosexuality is wrong and it scares them that God is righteous.

The USA would have banned a gay newspaper 60 years ago.
