In the aftermath of this past weekend’s Islamic terrorist attacks, White House press secretary Josh Earnest commented, “We are in a narrative battle. ISIL want to project the West as being at war with Islam. It’s a mythology. And we’re debunking that myth. … We can’t play into this narrative that somehow the United States is fighting Islam.”
In response, conservative journalist Ben Shapiro wrote, “The people in New York weren’t hit by flying pieces of narrative.”
Indeed, Islamic terrorism is not a narrative, and the victims of Islamic terrorism worldwide, now numbering in the millions, have not been beheaded or tortured or raped or blown to pieces or burned alive or imprisoned or exiled by “flying pieces of narrative.”
No, these men, women and children are the victims of violent people acting on a violent ideology that is a central part of their violent faith, namely, radical Islam. And so, while heads are literally rolling in the Middle East and other parts of the world, Washington elites are sticking their heads in the sand, saying that, “We are in a narrative battle.”
And what, exactly, is that “narrative”?
It is that we are not in a war with Islam, and therefore, if we acknowledge that these terrorists are Muslims or connect them in any way with the word “Islam,” we “play into this narrative that somehow the United States is fighting Islam.”
As Hillary Clinton tweeted out last November, “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

Translation for those of you in Rio Linda: “The way the Obama administration thinks you should respond to the death and injury of Americans by terrorist bombings is by telling a better story than that of the Islamists”.
In other words, their anti-terrorist strategy is story-telling.
The goal of islam is world domination. Such a goal is much easier if you convince the world that domination IS NOT the goal.
And it is easier still if islam convinces the world that its armed forces--the jihadis--are unrelated to islam and are nothing more than aberrations that should be ignored.

At first, I gave the current administration some small bit of credit, thinking they were merely incompetent. I can no longer hold that view. Having a President whose autobiography is entitled "Dreams From My Father" (a self-avowed Marxist) and a level of megalomania such that he considers a vote by an African-American for Trump to be a "personal insult", and a SecState whose BFF is allied by marriage to the Moslem Brotherhood, the only sane conclusion is that the current administration is actively working against the U.S. Please note that I have not brought up the former and current SecStates' documented corruption, selling of Cabinet-level access, the willful failure to protect an ambassador, or advancement of Iranian nuclear weapons. Those topics can wait for another post here.

I believe you give them too much credit. Only the weak minded are so susceptible to deceit...
That would include just under half the American electorate and at least the same percentage in Europe if not more.
Many say that western Europe has already fallen to islam.
I don't personally believe that because I believe the indigenous Europeans haven't actually started fighting...yet. But many have been suckered by islamic deceit and are just now beginning to wake up.

Until we recognize that Islam has been at war with everyone else on the planet, we will remain at risk.
Denial of the enemy will not make the enemy go away or change their minds.
They are religiously obligated to seek our deaths or submission.

Well, they literally responded to one terrorist attack with a ‘narrative’, that being the obscure, supposedly blasphemous, video on You Tube which hardly anyone had seen.
That was there ‘narrative’ and they’re sticking to it.
Sorry to break your bubble, but the problem is Islam. Granted a radical faction of Islam is responsible, but rank and file Muslims are doing nothing to stop it. The radicals are not being denounced and turned out from the mosques. In Germany in the 1930s there was a tacit acceptance of the Nazis and as a result the Nazis won control and plunged to world into war
