Recent Red Flag and allied exercises have had the F-22 getting owned by Russian and European equipment. French Rafales have shot down F-22s in exercises. Indian pilots have done the same in MiGs and Sukhois.

Further, the F-117 has been shot down in reality by very old Soviet SAMs in the Balkans - and the 117 is stealthier than the 22. Don’t count on the 22 being untouchable.

I'm not saying it can't be done, just that it isn't going to be a walk in the park, unless Russia has technology we don't know about yet.

A simulated shoot down during an exercise, like comparing a F117 to a F22, is like comparing apples to oranges. Totally different missions, totally different birds, and a totally different pucker factor.
