What I find interesting is that he left his gun on the Macys cosmetics counter. Why would he do that? That gun is traceable. The only explanation is that he does not care if he is caught.
The other issue is that all the victims have their ID with them. No woman goes shopping in a mall without her purse. Therefore, the families and friends all have been notified of the deaths, and yet no identification of the shooter yet. Which could make this into a random shooting.
It will also be interesting ( and I am going to find out) if there is police presence at all the major malls today, which would indicate that the police think this shooter could reappear. I am going to drive by the Tacoma Mall today, so I am going to see if there is police at all the entrances.
At the press conf, I think there was a question which implied they have not notified next of kin yet.
