Mr Ds coon ass relatives were kicked out of New Brunswick Canada all the way to Louisiana in 1745. Gumbo runs in his veins.

I'm part Broussards ,they were in the same group as the original Acadia's that came down from Canada

Pierre Richard ( Ree shard).tossed out of Canada and married a Fontenot when he got to Louisiana.
Then Phillipe Gagne came from Paris got into the mix, not sure when. But his descendants went to Texas in about 1850.

There is a college in New Brunswick Canada where we learned a lot of that in their genealogy department. Pierre Richard who came to La had the same name as his ancestor Pierre Richard who came to the new world in about 1640 and is buried in New Brunswick.

That was a fabulous trip and I am so glad we did it!
