Five members of the Southern Methodist University band took a knee while playing the national anthem prior to their game against Texas Christian University.
There were also a select number of students in the student section who joined in the protests.
“I feel like coming from an African American background — I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, which is a predominantly black city — that I get tired of seeing my black brothers and sisters dying from injustices and unjustified reasons,” one student, Coda Boyce, told the Dallas Morning News.
“I’m not against all police officers, I’m not saying all cops are bad, I’m not saying all Caucasian people are bad, because they’re not,” Boyce said. “I just believe that the injustice being shown in the past couple of years has been too much to handle. And I’m a little tired of it.”
Boyce also who wore a shirt that read “#BlackatSMU” and said she would kneel throughout the season if necessary.
The protests come on a day that Dallas first responders were being honored at the game.
Dallas police chief David Brown was midfield and performed the coin-flip prior to the game. Members of the band deny they chose this specific date to stage the protest.
I am not going to respect a race which commits app 50% of all crime despite being only app 12% of the population, and commits the huge majority of interracial crime. Since the media doesn’t mind broadbrushing when it suits their agenda, I can broadbrush-stereotype-too.
I don’t think it’s party so much as race, except that the leftist party propogates it. Because there are quite a few ‘rat-run, but majority white, cities which do pretty well, if you discount their silly politically-correct shenanigans.
WE WILL OFFEND TRADITIONAL WHITE AMERICANS UNTIL THEY SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS FOR US.
Maybe a solution would be for us - Americans Who Are Not Black - to march in the black community demanding better paying jobs...
And by “solve our problems” they mean “hand over” (redistribute) all our wealth and power, for them to do as they generally have done, which is to squander the wealth and use the power to tyrannise. Then expect whites to create more where that came from, and hand it over. I think they’d really like to appropriate our genes (genetic redistribution? haha), and it infuriates them that they can’t, at least not quickly enough or systematically enough to benefit them.
SMU seems these days to be a mix of rich coke heads and foreign nationals - lots of ChiComs and Saudis.

The article does not mention the Scots or Welsh the English also did the same thing to.

Being of Scots decent among other races my Scots blood dominates my personality. And not the Lowlanders either. William Wallace was a Highlander Hero.
To the best of my knowledge, American whites are the only people who fought a war and shed their own brothers’ blood, on behalf of another people who weren't their racial or ethnic family. But to this day, to hear the
left all over the world tell it, the only slavery which ever existed, or at
least ever mattered, was black slavery in America, in spite of a civil war at
least partially fought on behalf of those black slaves.
They don't even expend a drop of the oceans of ink and crocodile tears for present-day slaves (mostly under Islam), that they expend on slaves whose descendants have been free for over a century, thanks to the blood shed by whites against their brothers for that freedom. You'd think that black slavery in America still existed, and never existed elsewhere, to this day. You'd think that white Americans didn't die in numbers greater than in any other war in which America was involved, partially to end that slavery. Only white Americans are perpetually supposed to beat our breasts and pay through the nose (which is what the whole “downtrodden black” industry is about anyway) forever, for the sin of fighting and dying for those slaves to be free.
They didn't free themselves. But we're supposed to pay for the “privilege” of having done so.
Go to Africa or hell if it is so oppressive here. You are free to leave, no one will stop you. Do you need help packing?
A simple fix;
Just have the announcer say
“Please stand or kneel and pray for our National Anthem.”
“And I’m a little tired of it.”
Are you also tired of blacks making millions in the NFL? NBA? Becoming brain surgeons? Politicians? Music industry? Etc.....
