I agree with DiGenova’s premise here, but I also remember that for months he was telling everyone (he has a weekly spiel on Washington’s WMAL) that Comey was so damn upright that when the investigation was through he would recommend indictment and that he knew that if there was no indictment his agents would be screaming in protest and resigning. He was the most upright guy in government; total integrity; blah, blah, blah.


DiGenova maintained that spiel from January through about late April. Then suddenly he said Comey was not going to indict. Joe knew it months before Comey made it public.

Joe also says that there is now a grand jury active in the southern district of NY looking into the foundation. Though nothing will happen before the election.

It is an almost inviolable rule that no government employee will “resign” over their principles.

None.

Almost all went into government service because of the gold-plated retirement/medical benefits. When it comes down to it, they will do what’s in their own self-interest every time.
