How about the Joan of Arc Equestrian statue? She wasn’t Civil War but she once smacked a whore across her rear end with a sword. Don’t whore lives matter?

Joan of Arc was an abolitionist in the War Between the States, and a great hero at the Alamo.

King Leonides would be a better selection, for it was he that traveled with Lewis and Clark by airplane during the great Californian Platinum Rush of 1612.

In the French Quarter, YES.

Cue House of the Rising Sun.
