This is overreach by fedgov.

States should ignore it. They get to decide their voter laws and this is not unreasonable by any means. 6 years of no voting action is not unreasonable.

There is no constitutional requirements to keep people on voter roles forever. Nowhere specified. Because sftes determine their voting rules and laws.

And there’s no disparate impact that can be argued here, either (not that that is constitutional either, but it’s often used as grounds to overturn state laws).
