Just noticing, there is no landing on those stairs
or handicap railings. Some kind of temporary exit?
To enter one would have to either be tall or back up
several steps to clear the door.
Door has some kind of notice printed on it too.
That is one block of NYC I know well! Apple Seeds is on 25th and this has to be a rear exit on 24th, right next to the hotel I stayed at for a week last year and also a week this past July. I recognized the Chelsea/Flatiron block instantly. It’s very close to the 23rd st bomb site too.
