No doubt it was on purpose.

Saw him hit the microphone with his hand. Was wondering what was up with that?

Youtube chat was saying it was intentionally louder than Hillary’s to make it appear he was yelling.

The media has already declared rules don’t apply.

Of course it was on purpose. The entire debate was rigged for Clinton. Just look at who runs the debate commission... all elitist Clinton types.

Trump’s staff needs to check ALL details, such as microphones and their connected sound systems, out before EACH debate. Of course you can expect subtle sabotage — don’t let them get away with it.

...

Apparently it picked up some sniffling, too.

Trump needs to find a way shove these dirty tricks back at them.

Of course it was on purpose but he needs to not complain. It makes him look like he is making excuses, which makes him look weak and implies that he knows he lost. He just needs to do much much more prep for the next time and come out swinging harder.

Something that I noticed, being a bit of a wannabe audio engineer (as a hobby), is that Trump's mic was located approx 12 inches away and downwards by a few inches, so that he had to slump forwards and downwards a bit to speak into it. Hillary's mic was set up directly in line with her mouth, only a few inches away, and she didn't have to move her head at all to speak into it.

He had to physically move his head to speak into the mic, while she did not.

I'm not suggesting that this was a 'dirty trick' on the part of the debate producers, but it's an interesting observation.

Actually he needs to swing more effectively, with more connects than near misses by making his punches more directly aimed instead of swinging too fast too often.

In other words, yes he needs to prepare for the debates more than he did for this one. This one is okay though because it may have just made Hillary overly confident, and in the next one he can deliver the knockout punch.

The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.

I have always maintained that the MSM is the greatest enemy this country has. The MSM needs to be destroyed.

A much better, more nuanced way of saying what I was getting at. Kudos.

Hillary’s team definitely did this to sabotage Trump.

They knew exactly what they were doing and the placement of his mic was on purpose to make him have to move more than her and to give her an advantage.

Going forward, Trump’s team needs to address this and all stage physical, audio and camera works ahead of time.

Trump needs to talk about this so it can be investigated. Someone knew how tall Trump is yet they placed his microphone in a spot that required him to bend down to speak into it and the microphone was not adjustable to suit his height.

The Clintons are despicable cheaters and will always cheat.

Someone needs to invest age who set up the Trumps microphone height so specifically as an attempt to give Trump a disadvantage.

It didn’t matter, as Trump still won the debate, but the Clintons and their collusion with Lester Holt needs to continue to be exposed.

the Clintons and their collusion with Lester Holt needs to continue to be exposed.

The comical part of all this is that the Clinton's publicly announced that they were in collusion with Holt ... ie: "make sure you fact check Trump" ... their brazen statement beforehand should have sent up red flags everywhere, but it didn't. The MSM just went along with their meme that Trump was to be fact-checked.

Mic should be close enough, but at chin height. Any higher, and it makes the speaker appear to be giving the mic fellatio.
