I agree with the General. We should specify whether they’re sunni or shia.
Muslim is not ethnicity or race it is ideology. We should recognize that there are muslims who are held captive by islam and call themselves muslims because to declare themselves to be an apostate of islam means death.
“We should not isolate and single out just Muslims as being bad. We do have terrorists that come from the Muslim community but we also have some that are homegrown, nutty terrorists that do terrible things. But it would not be our way of doing things if we were to condemn an entire people merely because of their religious belief, and I’ve spoken out on this repeatedly,” Powell said.
General, he who defends everything defends nothing. Homegrown terrorism is virtually non-existant. Defending against that wastes resources and creates opportunities for jihadists
