I’m still not seeing it. How can one be pardoned for no “offenses against the United States?” Nixon was never found guilty of any offenses. I guess I’m not seeing a penumbra that others can see.
I suppose you might be correct. Obama cannot pardon himself. He needs to know, clandestinely, that if he pardons her, he will be the target. There is more than enough, even concerning her emails, Benghazi, ISIS, Iran etc to get him and convict him. Let him know, he is toast!

It should be noted that no one attempted to adjudicate the Nixon pardon. It was unique and no court ever ruled for or against it.
President Ford gave a blanket pardon to one person.

If she is indicted? Is he kidding? Does he actually believe that between now and January 20th that she will be indicted while this Kenyan employee of the Muslim brotherhood is still in the White House? Not a chance in hell.

Why ask him? Obama is known to do what will piss us off the most. How many times has he given us the middle finger, those who love their bibles and guns?
Trump should have refrained from asking- now Obama will do the opposite just to piss people off.
