In proud defiance of the tradition at FreeRepublic, I actually read the article.
Not the blog entry. The actual article: Calif. woman: Airline changed my seat to honor Pakistani monks' religious beliefs
In it, she says she has no intention to sue. But, she wants an apology to every woman on the flight, including crew. And, a change in policy to prevent it from happening again.
Forget the lawsuit. I hope Trump asks the Defender of Women Everywhere what she thinks about this.

I’d prefer to sit directly behind them, with my spare bootlace tied to my almost seven inch phillips screwdriver in one fist and to my very sharp 3.9” bladed scissors in the other.
And I can kick the seat in front of me for hours to keep my feet from falling asleep in those steel toed boots while eating pork rinds.
“Why anyone would fly UA is beyond me.”
Why anyone would fly at ALL is beyond me. I would drive on the ground, 5,000 miles or more, so that I would not have to deal with TSA, crowded seating, extended confinement with persons of uncertain temperament, and generally longer waits getting onto and off of an airplane, than it takes to move from one destination by air to another.
It used to be different.
This is why the idealogy of Islam must be outlawed in the US! It is repugnant to the US Constitution and an anethma to western civilization!
It must go and any individuals that practice it.
“If I were black, and the people in question were KKK members, would you still have accommodated their request?”
They should have forced the muslim men to sit next to the woman. And she should have climbed over them every 10 minutes to go to the bathroom.
What’s next Muslim flights and NonMuslim flights ?
To where they keep livestock. Pigs and dogs.

Is it bad to hope she is a liberal?
I could support that.
Since I no longer have to travel for work I do not fly.
And unless we decide to go overseas I do not see us flying again.
would love to find out who the two were that refused to sit by women. My guess is you would find out they are someone that has a lot of financial and political clout because I bet the decision to move the women came from the men contacting corporate and corporate telling the people at the counter to fix it. I just don’t see the airline going out of the way for just anyone and most people working a job like ticketing agent at the counter fallow a set way of handling everything set up in advance.
By the time they're boarding a plane, it's too late to make this kind of demand.
Apologize to every female that was on that plane, including their employees.
Change their policy.
Campos said if she didnt get those things, she would do whatever she had to do to protect womens rights.
CBS Los Angeles asked Campos if she intended on suing the airline, and she said that was not her intention. But she did want two things from United:
Apologize to every female that was on that plane, including their employees.
Change their policy.
Campos said if she didnt get those things, she would do whatever she had to do to protect womens rights.
To those, I would demand free First class travel (if the aircraft has a first class section) for all trips for at least a year!
This is not just an individual fight, this is an assertion that the violations of the fundamental civil rights of ALL American citizens, to accomodate koranimals (or any other sick culture) is and will remain vigorously rejected. With extreme prejudice if necessary.
Ms Campos may be a wild-eyed mushy liberal; She may even be a hard-as-rocks feminist.
ALL THAT PALES IN COMPARISON, THAT SHE IS AN AMERICAN TRAVELING ON AN AMERICAN AIRLINE, IN HER OWN COUNTRY, DAMMIT!!
Ms Campos, we have your back; and United Airlines is in a world of hurt. If there is a fund set up for your court costs, I will contribute in a second. I have a strong feeling that I have uncredible numbers of company in this determination.
Where do I send my contribution?
ps...
I am preparing popcorn before reading the comments at he link with the original source, and calming down, where there are literally hundreds of comments, and enjoying the rest of my day.
...with freshly refitted ejection seats...
Yeah.
Another article said they were Pakistani monks wearing red robes.
Absolutely!
That's just common sense. Public commercial travel is not a venue for demanding special treatment that impacts negatively the other passengers for ANY religion.
If they resisted in any way, verbally or physically, JUST ESCORT THEM OFF THE AIRCRAFT, et non parlons plus...
I agree, I used to love flying and did fairly often for business and visiting children in other states. After the 4th flight on which I was pulled aside for extra search {a blond, middle-aged granny) in which I missed my flight and a connecting flight, I have stopped flying. Too Stupid (to be worthwhile) A$$e$ = TSA
