I’m sure that Lynch will jump all over this.

She actually will.

She will immediately prosecute anyone for criticizing the NYT, claiming they violated the Interference With Government Propery act.

"Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one's taxes.

"Over and over again the Courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everyone does it, rich and poor alike and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands."
- Judge Learned Hand

Trump is doing what is legal, ethical, and what everyone does. NO ONE owes a duty to pay more (taxes) than the law demands.

People should read more about Judge Billings Learned Hand. "Hand has been quoted more often by legal scholars and by the Supreme Court of the United States than any other lower-court judge."

Hand was unabashedly a progressive, but believed in massive judicial restraint (something modern progressives hate). He was a strict constitutionalist, just one coming at it from the political left.

Amazingly so, but when you are strict constitutionalist, it really doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum you start at, you end up at the same place. Personal freedom, judicial restraint, legislative power.

Trump is one of the few people who wouldn’t cheat on his taxes. As he’s said, the EyeRS is always looking over his shoulder so he has the best accountants money can buy.
