Scarborough: Donald Trump Has Become Voters’ Default Choice
washingtonpost.com ^ | October 4, 2016

Posted on 10/04/2016 7:49:34 AM PDT by Helicondelta

Despite a series of shameful episodes this week, Trump still leads in Ohio comfortably, he’s within the margin of error in North Carolina, and he’s staying within striking distance in Pennsylvania.

If I were a Clinton supporter or just an average citizen who doesn’t care to live out the plot line of a Cormac McCarthy novel, I would be very afraid. Given Trump’s behavior over the past week (and month and year), Trump should be down 20 points by now and the media should be speculating about Clinton’s cabinet choices. But that is not our fate. Instead, Americans seem to be buckling up for one more month of chaos, crude comments, leaked Democratic documents, the appeasement of Russian barbarism, ill-prepared debate performances and the worst presidential choice in U.S. history.

This week will show Trump falling further behind in the polls. But if the past is prologue, expect him to climb his way back into the race and keep elites and influencers on the edge of their seats until election night. Trump appears to be the default position for millions of voters. And if he stops working every day to drive them away over the next four weeks, Trump could still be elected the 45th president of the United States.

PENCE needs to change the narrative tonight.

PENCE MUST END WITH THIS:

Mrs. Clinton claims to have spent her life fighting for women and children. Tonight a woman by the name of Kathy Shelton would disagree. Who is Kathy Shelton? She was a 12yr old rape victim savagely attacked by a 41 year old man. Who did Hillary fight for? Surely you would think the 12yr old girl. You would be wrong. She by her OWN WORDS did someone “a FAVOR” by representing the rapist. She didn’t have to do it! She could have said NO. She instead decided to defend this brutal rapist. It is beyond disturbing to hear Mrs. Clinton laugh her way through an interview in which Mrs. Clinton describes getting him off with a couple month sentence. 40 years later a 54 year old victim still can’t forget the rape. Now Mrs. Clinton and her allies in the press can spin this story all they like. In the end, a 12yr old girl named Kathy was raped and never got the justice she deserved. The take away is America deserves someone who will LEAD and make the right choice and the tough choice. Kathy Shelton’s sad tale, Benghazi, Illegal Servers, Deleted emails, Destroyed evidence, it all point to someone who wants her own set of rules. “Stronger Together”??? is clearly just a campaign slogan. Mrs. Clinton life and career could be better described as “ALL for Myself”.

Joe Scarborough would never be my default choice. I would rather listen to the Simpsons. There is more intelligence there.

It sucks to be Joe Scarborough.

His love affair with Mika Brzezinski is so over.

The MSM is either clueless or in denial of a large number of Americans fed up with the status quo. Let them crap in their pants election night and cry in their op-ed pieces on Wednesday morning.

Despite a series of shameful episodes this week

Is this the 'implicit bias' Hillary was talking about?

As I’ve said for months, all Trump has to do is show people that he is merely a flawed politician and not the nutcase loose canon the left portrays him as, and he has this in a landslide.

I even heard an interview with a mexican american woman in Arizona on NPR this morning and her attitude was, “I CAN’T vote for Hillary, but Trump makes me nervous.”

The interviewer was LITERALLY trying to lead her, with probing questions, to accept that voting for Hillary would not necessarily be bad. But the point was there: A LOT of people who would not be considered conservative just need to see him as fairly normal and he has this

” Trump should be down 20 points by now and the media should be speculating about Clinton’s cabinet choices. But that is not our fate.”

Depends on what your definition of “our” is.

the media should be speculating about Clinton’s cabinet choices. But that is not “our” fate. .................................. Hopefully you are damn right about that! Die WAPO, die! May the Clintons be buried in the dust bin of History and forgotten.

I’m not a religious man but I have prayed, and will continue to pray, that Donald Trump will not only win the election, he will win in an historic landslide to quash the left, once and for all.

This week will show Trump falling further behind in the polls.

This is the type of media onslaught Trump is up against. The truth is Trump was leading last week, and continues to lead this week, but that doesn't stop the DNC propaganda arm from printing an outright lie.

Trump has learned how to give a single performance that is viewed differently by average Americans on one hand and the press and Liberals on the other.

He does this by speaking elliptically--that is by speaking in a manner that omits key words (ellipsis) or in a manner that is easily twisted depending on the hearer's bias.

By doing this, he baits the press and Liberals into believing they have an opportunity to damage him by attributing a meaning to his speech that he did not intend. The press jumps on him in a way that exposes their Liberal bias and when voters see the press bias, they become increasingly anti-press.

In this way, Trump neuters the press so that American voters just tune them out.

Actually very clever.

So when you hear the press say that Trump had a very bad week...you may conclude that such is wishful thinking on their part.

No one can change the narrative of white liberal elites and the black underclass that props them up... they have a dog in this fight...

All we can do is talk to each - to the people around us - and pray our voices can be heard over the hatred of white liberal elites in the press.

Seems like the Clinton apparat has detected its losing the middle class......couldn't be b/c she called them deplorable, could it? (smirk). Here's the latest salvo from the Clinton team:

BILL CLINTON ON OBAMACARE: “You’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people are out there busting it 24/7...... wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half.”

This so calculated....like everything the conniving Clintons do.

Billy mentioning the "struggling middle class" is also a clue to Hillary's campaign strategy.......when Bill Clinton ran, he calculatedly made moves to make himself attractive to the middle class.

Hillary knows she is not very appealing and at the same time she has to keep Obama stroked.

Obama setup a costly voter fraud machine for her (using our tax dollars), got her cleared of the email mess......and then there's the crucial Obama coalition votes she desperately needs.

After all that largesse, Hillary can't appear to be throwing Obama under the bus....that's where Bill comes in.

The Clintons could care less about the middle-class or about skyrocketing health premiums.......they're in this strictly for themselves.
