have you ever tried shopping and cooking for one?Man it is hard. My kids have moved out and it is me and the Mrs. I cook all the time and my wife loves what I cook. I'll admit, I'm pretty danged good. My chili has won contests. My Chicken Francaise is to die for. But...
I simply cannot cook for 1 or 2. There will ALWAYS be leftovers. It's the way I was raised and the way Mom taught me. I have tried and I tell ya...it is NOT easy.

It's extremely difficult, Sam. I'm not a bad cook either, but with the way things are currently, I don't even have the time, let alone the wastage issue, which has always bothered me to no end...

Been there, do that. I swear, I start out planning on making just enough for the three of us. I wind up with two days worth of leftovers, and I still have to toss stuff after all is said and done.
