The Syrians are trained in the operation and integration of the updated S-300 system, and now it is on the Med coast.

Not a small upgrade in capability.

The No-Fly Zone may be different than Kerry envisioned.

Good to see the Russian withdrawal from Syria proceeding according to plan.

I must have missed that session of Congress when we declared war on Syria.

So how will anyone know if a missile is fired by a Syrian or a Russian? This situation is spiraling out of control thanks to Obama and Kerry.

The Russians have every right to be concerned for the safety of their naval base. It is their naval base, after all, and they’re under no obligation to leave it defenseless from aerial attack.

Dont want them to leave.

ISIS would be a far worse controller of Syria.

some people here think it’s ####ing 1980. It isn’t.

Wake the #### up.

Yeah, putin’s a bad guy, but he did the right thing in stopping ISIS’ money flow by destroying the oil convoys and outing Turkey as a safe haven for ISIS.

Can they be trusted? Probably not. Are they FAR better than jihadis controlling the MED? yes.

we did nothing against ISIS for 3 years and now people think WE are winning that war? no, russia is.

obama WANTS ISIS and jihadis to stay in power because he HATES HATES HATES America and the west and white folk.

I dont want soldiers dying because of this POS’ values.

So how will anyone know if a missile is fired by a Syrian or a Russian?

They won't, and that is the point.

This deployment is in response to Obama and Kerry's to-clever-by-half "accidental" killing of a couple dozen highly trained Syrian Military when the strike was supposed to target ISIS Terrorists covertly supported by Obama. Now the Syrians can take down US missiles, aircraft and drones and protect a Syrian Naval Base while doing it.

You are correct.

The Russians are in Syria by long standing treaty with the Internationally recognized legal government of Syria, that is, Assad's government.

The United States is in violation of International Law and the United Nations Charter, by having ANY presence in or over Syrian territory (including drones), or instigating, financing or supplying insurrectionists within Syria. Those actions are prohibited Acts of War.

The S-300 is one of the best SAM systems out there.

Better than anything we have.

And will be able to shoot down nearly all American aircraft from hundreds of miles away.

This is going to get out of control. Why are we there?

Because Obama hates legacy America, and these actions will harm or destroy her.

Obama and the Socialist Rat mainstream media have created the perception in most foreign countries that the American population supports the Obama regime in these attacks on so many foreign nations which misdirects foreign anger against the American people rather than the Obama Globalist regime.

I'm surprised this is two years behind the curve. Still, if the Russians maintain control it could be a good thing.

After all, Clinton has no discipline.

Can they shoot down raptors, with the best pilots in the world flying them?

All of a sudden our Air Force is a third rate Air Force?

And nuked up Death to America Iran? You don’t realize it is a package deal? The KGB filth and their BFF murdering islamonazis from Iran. It’s a lot more problematic dealing with that dirty duo than a few head chopping rag heads.

Its a shame we started this war which was nothing more than a small insurgency that Assad could have crushed. We trained, funded and armed them and many of those joined ISIS and this all got our of hand from their. Now Russia may have to shoot down our jets because we are aiding terrorism.

S-300 Upgraded is, indeed an excellent and versatile system.

Russia is also reinforcing it's Eastern Med Naval deployment, and has made a deal with Turkey, driving a wedge between an extremely necessary "ally" and the US.

If push comes to shove, there is little confidence that support for a North Western Syria incident will be allowed to be dispatched from Turkey or the Eastern Med.

US Military involved will have less rights than Chris Stevens did in Libya, he was there legally.
