I agree. This thing is painful to watch, but I suspect it will work out well for Trump. Pence could push back more against the lies, but overall Pence is doing what he should be doing. He’s the adult in the room.
Pence is a real asset for Trump.
I think it would be good for them to be seen campaigning together as something of a team, since Pence’s experience and steady demeanor can help to balance what some worry about with Trump.
Bill Clinton effectively campaigned that way with Al Gore when he was a young guv without Washington experience.
Trump should be the chairman and CEO in the Trump administration, while Pence is his COO.
