As an experiment, I’m watching the debate without listening to it. If it’s true that a great deal of communication is non-verbal, then Pence is destroying Kaine. This isn’t close on the visual alone. Pence looks calm and reasonable, Kaine looks agitated and just small.

That is quite true. In an actual sales conversation, words have a small footprint.
