Meanwhile, I am out in Iowa and we had some dangerous weather conditions last night. I couldn’t even watch the Boston-Cleveland ball game because of the constant interruptions with tornado warnings from the NWS. Lots of thunder and lightning and high winds. Today, the sky is clearing but it’s still windy ... and the temperature has dropped a lot.
Remember back in 2008?
About a week before the election, NOAA reported that September 2008 was the hottest September ever, by a large margin. It was a big story, and was used to cudgel Republicans, because it was "proof" of Global Warming.
Then, after the election, in Mid November 2008, it was reported that all of the data from Russia in August was "accidentally" copied into September, and that without this error, September 2008 was not particularly warm.
How convenient.
And then, remember the Inauguration in 2009? A few days before, NOAA reported that Arctic Sea Ice was at the lowest level ever recorded. Obama made this very point in his Inaugural Address, saying that the science was settled, etc.
Then, in February 2009, NASA corrected the calibration on the satellite data, and reported that Arctic Sea Ice was actually increasing.
As James Bond would say, the first time is an accident, the second time is a coincidence, and the third time is Enemy Action.
