There are many, many people who visit the Waffle House, and like it.
It was not built for vegetarians and health nuts. They don’t serve tofu.
There is one near where I work, and you can’t find a vacant seat in there from 10am until about 2pm. There’s a medical complex near there and most all of the employees eat lunch there.
On long trips, especially late at night, WH is a godsend.
They must be doing something right.
Family tradition.
I eat at WH every now and again but it’s tradition for our family that when we get a snow storm that shuts down the town we jump in the 4x4 and run to WH for a nice meal.
Years ago, wife & I stopped at a Waffle House in eastern Missouri. I placed my order and heard the watress call out to the kitchen: “Flip, it, dip it. Nip it, clip it.”
I never understood what her coded order represented...
Count me in!
The day WH serves tofu look out the window for four beings riding on white, red, black, and pale horses.
