Trump described a sexual fantasy to a friend in private circumstances.
What was on the tape was never meant for the world to know.
That’s why I judge Trump leniently because being foul-mouthed in private is quite different from being a jerk in public.
That is an extenuating circumstance. Let’s get it off it!

To be effective in totally defeating Trump, if it were able to do that, this tape would have to have been released like the “W” DWI arrest of 30 years prior was, on the Friday before the election, leaving no response time. I am sure Team Clinton has something set up for November 4.

Agreed. They either thought that THIS would finish Trump...or they have something even worse (trumped up) and waiting in the wings.

Which may be why the call for Trump to drop out coincided with his scheduled appearance with Paul Ryan and calls for Pence to replace Trump.
Next-in-line, Paul Ryan, publicly shames Trump, drops his support, and un-invites Trump, yet still expects nice guy Pence to show up (so as not to disappoint the crowd that would be gathered to see Trump).
Next, post pic of Pence and Paul Ryan smiling together .. media and elites saying how natural it all is, and there you have the logical (to the elites) ticket. How convenient.
