At San Antonio Fundraiser, Trump Mocks Paul Ryan

Earlier in his remarks, Trump said occasionally "our own party gets in the way" of his campaign. "Sometimes it's harder to beat our own party than it is to beat the person on the other side," Trump told donors.

Trump previewed that message earlier Tuesday on Twitter, railing against Ryan as a "very weak and ineffective leader." Trump kept up the criticism at the fundraiser, suggesting Ryan should focus more on budget issues than criticizing the GOP nominee — and even reaching back to Ryan's time as Republican Mitt Romney's running mate in the 2012 presidential race.

"This guy lost four years ago," Trump said, "in like a landslide."

I just got a survey from GOP Chair. Told him I was voting for Trump, but none of the rest of the Republican ticket. They made the mistake of giving me an area for a personal message. They won’t do that again. And, I am definitely off of their Christmas card list!

“The Republican party is in free fall and it is their own damn fault.”

At this point I am much more interested in the success of Trump than the Republican party. We gave the Republicans a majority in both Houses and all they did was rubber stamp the Obama agenda.

The feckless coward Ryan has no problem with the Clintons raping and terrorizing women and children but he’s backing away from Trump because of something he said 11 years ago before he became a Christian.

What a low-life coward.

The Republican party is in free fall and it is their own damn fault. If I weren’t on the ballot for November I would leave and that’s no lie.

If you want to see the future of a what a post-Trump loss GOP would look like just take a look at Twitter today. Total chaos. The party would be paralyzed with infighting.

If the GOPe was smart they would be doing everything they can to pull Trump over the finish line. Because the alternative is the implosion of the Party of Lincoln. And I have no doubt that will happen after seeing millions of GOP voters betrayed so viciously by elected Republicans.

Their first allegiance is to their donors. The Republican Party’s continued existence doesn’t really matter to them as long as their donors keep them well supplied. These politicians will wear whatever team jersey they are asked to wear....Dem, Republican, or some other hybrid yet to be named.

Spot on. And of course our biggest problem is the big GOP donors are nearly 100% on board with the progressive agenda. Socialized medicine, open borders/amnesty, etc. Career politicians do not represent Main Street. They represent K Street.
