Trump declares war on GOP, says ‘the shackles have been taken off’
The Washington Post ^ | October 11th, 2016 | By Sean Sullivan, Robert Costa and Dan Balz

Donald Trump declared war on the Republican establishment Tuesday, lashing out at House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (Wis.), Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and other GOP elected officials as his supporters geared up to join the fight amid extraordinary turmoil within the party just four weeks before Election Day.

One day after Ryan announced he would no longer campaign on Trump’s behalf, the GOP nominee said as part of a barrage of tweets that the top-ranking Republican is “weak and ineffective” and is providing “zero support” for his candidacy. Trump also declared that “the shackles have been taken off” him, liberating him to “fight for America the way I want to.”

Trump called McCain “foul-mouthed” and accused him with no evidence of once begging for his support. The 2008 nominee pulled his endorsement following a Friday Washington Post report about a 2005 video in which Trump is heard making vulgar comments about forcing himself on women sexually.

“I wouldn’t want to be in a foxhole with a lot of these people, that I can tell you. ... especially Ryan,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News Channel. He said if he is elected president, Ryan might be “in a different position.”

In perhaps the most piercing insult, Trump said his party is harder to deal with than even Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, whom conservatives loathe. Yet he also released a new TV ad featuring footage of Clinton coughing and stumbling during a recent bout with pneumonia — signaling that few issues are out of bounds for his scorched-earth campaign.

> First, we must ensure that McCain and Ryan are NOT elected. We do that by voting for their respective Democrat opponents.

> There are several more.

> Their MUST be a price for the treachery of the Republicans.

Trump picked the wrong party to run as an Independent. Once in the White House, does Trump think he’s going to push his agenda through a Democrat controlled congress?

Notice no talk of how Hillary got her clock cleaned in the debate so Paul Ryan takes his marching orders from Soros and goes out there and announces he’s not going to campaign for Trump. Media hacks follow the lead and all they’re talking about is the GOP civil war. Classic psyops. Time folks for the Adorable to kick butt and take this nation back!

That’s right. Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
Heck no!
Keep your pecker up catlady. We’re going to prevail.

"Once in the White House, does Trump think he’s going to push his agenda through a Democrat controlled congress?"

It won't matter either way, Democrat or Republican, his challenges would be about equal.

But remember, if he wins he would be sworn in with more political capital than any POTUS in our lifetimes and maybe more than any ever.

If he prevails after all the institutional forces on the planet through everything they had at him, his victory would be decisively the new political norm.

No politician in America would want to cross him.

Anderson Cooper, not a good debate monitor(should be a clue for CNN) is talking this on CNN now(probably all night), they just can’t get over being confronted with truth, always circles back to cloaked campaigning for Clinton.

The Uniparty will not allow Trump to win. Period.

And the American people are too in love with free stuff and political correctness to do what needs to be done.

I had hoped all of this would be resolved peacefully. I’m no longer confident of that at all.

Sorry, there is ZERO evidence the GOPe lead by Amnesty Ryan and Mitch McConnell that is now defacto campaigning for Hillary Criminal will push Trump’s agenda through Congress.

I don’t know if the Right will rebel because when THEY resort to “civil unrest” they get shot.

However, if Trump wins there WILL be violence. Violence condoned by the Bat-Eared Bolshevik. You can take that to the bank.

Buy more ammo.

Indeed it is. I could not agree more.

Trump cannot govern effectively with these idiots running the house or senate.

Time to swab the decks and throw the traitors over board.

You’re right. He is on his own. And the MSM and the GOPe have always been against him and their support after the primary was dependent on how much the GOPe could control and shape him.

He’s a stubborn man and we have a hard choice, now that the base has put him in the driver’s seat: follow him and support him or abandon him. Everyone on this site expected the GOPe to thwart him at some point. We were there for the GOPe with whatever they put up in the past, but you can see how they treat their base when the shoe is on the other foot. Again, we’ve seen this before. It’s no surprise on this forum.

Through it all, he’s been Donald Trump. We’ve always dreamed of a candidate who would campaign for the general the way they did in the primary. Now we have him and he’s doing it the way we’ve always dreamed. He’s gone to the mat for us the way no other candidate has. He’s told Hillary where she may yet wind up for the real harm she’s done. I can’t imagine withdrawing or qualifying my support for a leader like that. And all we have to do is vote for him!
