He’s not going to lose the general election.
Speaker is voted on in January, but the caucus choice for the next Speaker is made by the new Members after the election.
I doubt he even runs. The position is untenable for a RINO lackey. Has been since at least Obama’s re-election.
Need someone with mostly conservative support who can reach
out to the RINOs.

Call your Congressman, 202-224-3121, let them know they will be Cantorized if they return Ryan to Speaker.

I called yesterday and the staffer I spoke to said they were getting many calls like mine.

We have the power.
Use it.

“Unless there has been a mass spine implant operation in Congress, I suspect Ryan’s job is safe.”

Not if he loses his seat. If Republicans in his district leave that race blank, the Dim wins by default.

I see from some of the threads that the princes, dukes and earls are returning to the fold.

I say off with their heads.

Yes. He would say, “The Party left me, I never left the party!”. Or, he may temporarily become Independant, as with Ron Paul.

Yes, and it must be indelibly noted, right here on FR...

Through his anti-GOP Base actions...

Mister Ryan has chosen to vote HIMSELF off the [GOP] island.

The “secret” about Ryan is he’s supported by a few powerful swing state RINOs who can’t afford to lose any Trump voters OR any moderate/Democrat voters.

They don’t care about conservative voters- but Trump appeals to more than conservatives.

Even worse are the GOPers in safe Red State seats who feel free to sell their constituents out to K Street. Ryan has PLENTY of support from them and they are the real problem, IMO. We deserve rock solid conservatives from Red States and it’s not even close to that.

They had a hard enough time cobbling together enough votes to elect Ryan the last time. I don’t see how the Conservative wing would ever support him again.

If this truly comes to pass, this ought to be Ryan's theme song on his last day as Speaker:

Big deal.

Eddie will just make the move from First Street to K Street early.

Probably wind up sharing an office with Boehner.

I spoke with Kevin Yoders office today. They know where I stand. I didn’t mince words nor accept their placating, “But we still support, Trump” response.

Watching Trump managing this campaign reminds me of Julius Caesar in the Battle of Alesia. If your not familiar with it, look it up, because it`s fascinating. Trump is showing the same mastery as Caesar did, of a complex situation that would have defeated just about anybody else who was in their shoes.
