There is a RUMOR:
US/Saudi ties are right now on a different footing. There are things (which as usual) S. Arabia does need but cannot do herself. Some of those things are stuff the USA cannot BE SEEN by the US public as doing on behalf of S. Arabia.
So the UNSUBSTANTIATED rumor is that:
The “dastardly attacks” on US ships either did not happen or were done half-heartedly BY ARRANGEMENT, thereby giving the USA premise to act on S. Arabia’s behalf.
And the rumor is that this was done cuz the prospect of the wholesale FALL of S. Arabia would give that country over to people who are substantially worse than the bums now ruling that place.
Ehh....I take no position on ANY of that.
I just don’t know.

Rather than C-802 missiles supplied by Iran, there are reports that they are more likely to be C-801 missiles and their launchers scavenged off three Type 021 missile boats by defectors from the former Yemen Navy.
The Houthi militia just doesn’t have the trained crews that could arm, aim and fire these missiles. More likely they are defectors loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Shiite Houthis in Yemen are tired of Saudi financed Sunni rule. They revolt and the Saudis start a bombing campaign. Uncle Sap supplies logistical and intelligence to the Wahabbi Saudis. Houthis ask for support from fellow Shiites in Iran. Iran works to ship surface to air missiles (SAMSs) so the Houthi can defend themselves. The U.S Navy arrives on the scene to blockade Iranian arms shipments. In other words, the U.S. Navy has become the House of Saud’s bitches.
One would think that Washington would learn from our disastrous interventions in Iraq, Libya and Syria, but it just continues on. Bleeding our nation of servicemen/women and national treasure.

We need to re commission a couple of Iowa class BBS. We don’t need to fire back. When something harmlessly bounces off the side the skipper can run and hide in his safe place and without pilotage the boat will accidently run over the attacker.
Let’s not forget this little incident 50 years ago. 34 fellow sailors killed, 171 injured. Ship destroyed. This was Israeli planes knowingly attacking a US Ship in broad daylight.

Houthis are well aware (even if Americans are not) that us and s are working as a team (’coalition’). In fact the fatal weapons were connected (manufacture, design or sale I’m not sure) right back to usa. 2 days ago, navy bombed yemen - 3 military tracking sites, no people. Its escalating, but we srarted it with usa neocon tentacles, weapons, spies and money interwoven thru every nation in region.
Scanned the article carefully for the word “Iran” and couldn’t find it. Global MSM continues to cover for Obama and his jihadi compatriots.
After the Gulf of Tonkin, I believe it; they want to scare voters into electing the “experienced” politician. Trump was right in pointing out that Hillary did have experience - BAD EXPERIENCE.
Firing back only destroys the installations which can be quickly replaced. Real firing back means hitting Command & Control centers where the decision makers hang out. Hitting both is even better.
