They never do..................
I think they know. I also think they believe they can handle the problem using industrialized methods.
Neither, it would seem, do the majority of the voters.
I’d call that essay the unvarnished truth.
Yep.
Great article! Thanks for posting!!!

There are none so blind as those who will not see.
I call BS. I've been watching historical youtube videos about the bombing of England and Germany in WWII. People were living in bomb shelters, loading out bodies in trucks and making due. Actually morale was pretty high in a lot of cases. The firestorm in Hamburg was an exception because that city was torched. Watching WWII and pondering other times in the past makes me see what a bunch of spoiled whiners we've become.
Love this!!
A nice/harsh dose of reality. Can’t refute a word of it.
The image that keeps popping into my heads is the French Aristocracy in 1797. The current US Media/Politcal/Business elite is almost as divorced from reality as the Ancien Regime.
Eggs- Zactly!
The elite think they can use advanced computers and industrialization to automate a large number of jobs and Turd World semi-slave labor to replace the rest.
What they don’t seem to realize is that their workers with a 6th grade education (if that) and a tendency to violence cannot actually support the society that made them wealthy in the first place; they don’t want a white-picket-fence house or a peaceful neighborhood to live in because they’re content with overcrowded living and dodging shootouts on the way home from work. Nor can they be counted on to protect them or their property when the next war rolls around - imagine Russia invading and the elite having to rely on Central/South America mercenaries. And in the event of any large-scale disaster that destroys infrastructure and/or the advanced machinery, they won’t have the ability to rebuild them. Button pushers simply can’t repair equipment that took a team of MIT graduates years to even design.
They may be most prone to violence, but when the SHTF, we have the guns.
The Beginnings
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late
With long arrears to make good,
When the English began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the English began to hate.
Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the English began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the English began to hate.
It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the English began to hate.
I disagree with the year. It is more like 1861 than 1788. Brother against brother. State against state.
There will be a secession of a state or group of states again. Will this lead to war? I don’t think so.
The article makes some good points, but the smarter elites have refuges in protected or wilderness areas. They are preppers but do not advertise it. And their preps outdo the average prepper because of their wealth.
Good article.
My point is that, forty years after Roe v. Wade, abortion has gone from being illegal and rare, to (supposedly) “safe, legal, and rare”, to something “one in three American women has”, which is “no big deal”. Since the Bible tells us that “God is not mocked”, we must ask...how much longer will His hand be stayed?
