I never said they did, just the ones that talk weird.
NYC accents change from generation to generation and from neighborhood to neighborhood, and many times from block to block!
Why is that? Can't you people get it together and learn how to all speak the same way, or at least speak with no accent like Normal Americans?
I find Trump's accent extremely weird and have NEVER heard one like it.

Of course they do. I've heard people Downeast so bad they couldn't even say the letter "R"....they'd go "ah" "ah" ....like a cultural speech impediment. Barney Frank couldn't pronounce an "R" to save his life.
Then again, they put an "R" where one absolutely does not belong. Examples: Cuber...Florider. Funny....then they pronounce the "R" perfectly. you're just NUTS and possibly deaf.

Almost EVERY American has an accent; even the the ones who have had voice training or just naturally have NO accent at all, which IS an accent.

Accents change; they do so ALL OVER AMERICA and always have done. And FYI...the various accents in Great Britain have changed over time; even the Royal Family's and the aristos'.

Oh come on...Trump has a HEAVY accent; one that obviously was colored by his father's speech patterns and NOT at all influenced by his time in boarding school, nor at college. Thankfully, none of his children have that atrocious accent and I am THE biggest Trump supporter there is; so don't even go there.

I suggest that you get and read the Late Alistair Cook's "AMERICA", or some other such book that explains the origins of Americans' accents. It's a fascinating topic and one which you would benefit from reading about, since I'm NOT going to bother to waste my time trying to explain it all to you.

I talk like who I am, a well educated person, with a mish mash of an accent due to where I was born, who I was brought up by, where went to school and college, and where I spent school holiday, outside this country.
