I have a friend I met in the Air Forces years ago that I am still friends with who sounds exactly like Donald Trump when talking. He’s from Queens. When Trump announced he was running I called my friend and asked him were they related and I thought they sounded alike and he said “ah shit no, I wish I had some of his f***ing money, da Donald is a good guy, he’s got all dat money and not a stuck up bone in his body, just one of da guys”.
He has a very distinctive accent; one that I was completely unaware of, before he ran. Oh I had heard him before that, but not constantly, so I guess that I didn't pay all that much attention to before.
I have know people who were born in/grew in several different parts of Queens, but NONE of them sounded like Trump. His accent is a new one for me.
