Donald Trump missed a golden opportunity to take down Hillary Clinton over Haiti

Donald Trump was mocked for trying to address Haiti based on his experience "at Little Haiti the other day in Florida," but while his takedown didn't really get off the ground, he did manage to make his main point. "I want to tell you, they hate the Clintons, because what's happened in Haiti with the Clinton Foundation is a disgrace. And you know it, and they know it, and everybody knows it," Trump said.

It is a train of thought Trump has been following for a few weeks now. As The Washington Post writes:

Trump comes late to Haiti. The Clintons have had a special interest in the country ever since they honeymooned there in 1975. President Bill Clinton restored Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide to power in 1994 after he was expelled in a coup. Clinton and former president George W. Bush agreed to head the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, created in 2010 after the devastating earthquake, to raise billions in aid. And Clinton became co-chair of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission.

Trump is right that many Haitians now loathe the Clintons. ..................

Katz added that while Clinton's rejoinder was weak, she scraped by unscathed. "That's because if you really wanted to nail her, you'd ask her about interfering in the 2011 election.

You'd ask about why reconstruction was so explicitly meant to benefit American businesses and customers. You'd ask why after she promised to do aid differently after the quake the U.S. government and American aid groups did the same old thing," Katz explained. Read his entire breakdown here.

Trump’s golden Opportunity was Hilliary on tape laughing at getting a rapist off.

If he would have put this in a commercial before the 1st debate, the election would have been over already. The soccer mom’s would have turned against her big time.

None of these October surprise women would have mattered.

No he actually didn’t, because the fact of the matter is that there is only one person in this world who can take down Hillary Clinton.

And that person is the American people.

This our job, our country, our duty.

If we fail, America fails.

So let us not fail.

Onward!

Trump is a lousy debater. He missed many opportunities, and can always be led astray by a shiny distraction. Last night’s immigration question had a natural segue to the fresh and highly relevant voting fraud videos that deserve to be laid at Hillary’s feet — but Trump had to waste his time on drugs. He has no focus, no discipline. He does not keep his eye on the ball. We all despise Hillary, but she makes up for dishonesty, bad policy, and only average intelligence, by being highly disciplined in public. Call her robotic, but at least she doesn’t forget why she’s there.

Wow thank goodness that is just an opinion.

I thought Trump was amazing last night, he set up the clear contrast between himself and Hillary. It’s always easy for those not walking in the shoes to criticize. There’s not enough time to exploit every single opportunity with someone as crooked as Hillary, so you hit the high spots. Trump did that well, very well.

There’s not a one among us who has been in a heated discussion that didn’t walk away with something we wish we’d said.

I wish I had a dollar for every different opinion I’ve heard on what golden opportunity Trump missed last night. I would be very rich.

All the missed golden opportunities can easily be converted into more votes simply by putting them into short campaign ads and running them in contested states.

a side benefit is that if the ads are run by PACs, then trump can deny he took the so-called “low road.”

(but yeah, as someone else said, he is a lousy debater.)

Haitians hate the Clintons for good reasons.

Where the other Clinton global Initiatives get a nickel on the dollar, Haiti received only a penny or two.

Trump is a lousy debater.

Not as lousy as he was during the second debate, at which he was better than the first debate.

If he wins the election, I pity the rat he goes against in the debates.

None of these things will make a difference. The only question that people ask themselves is how much do I hate Hillary?

Exactly. That’s why over the top critical opinions of Trump ring hollow.

Well well well. Aren’t you special?

Political debates are not regular debates in case you hadn’t noticed. Trump did just fine

The only way to overcome a rigged system is to overwhelm the vote

And that person is the American people.

... who generally get their news and information from the MSM. While the MSM run the debates a Presidential debate provides a rare opportunity for a candidate to have unfiltered time to make their case to large numbers of voters.

Hey Cruzlim

What the heck do you think Trump did last night with her?

The death blow was where he pointed out that her campaign paid people to riot at his events. This is probably the first time the general public has heard of this. Her sleazy campaign is over with from this point on. She is done, in fact, I think she was done months ago. She is running on fumes. If it wasn’t for the media propping her up, she would be down to single digits in real polls by now.

Stop hoping for the Hillary win so you can come back here and go “told you so”

You think Jebby the happy Turtle or Cruz the traitor would have done any better? Heck they all would have ended up hiding behind their podiums in the fetal position like the rest of the losers before them.

Trump destroyed her, I think he did better this debate then the 2nd one.

You can go back to your hourly worship of Cruz
