BRINK OF WAR: UK sends TANKS, DRONES and 800 SOLDIERS to Russian border as tensions grow

BRITAIN has sent tanks, drones and 800 soldiers to the Russian border as tensions with Vladimir Putin intensify by the hour.

The show of force comes just days after the Russian leader’s fleet passed near the British coast.

British soldiers will travel to Estonia in what is one of the biggest build-ups of foreign firepower on Russia’s border since the Cold War.

The move will take place next spring, with Denmark and France also taking part in the huge military exercise.

The project was revealed by Defence Secretary Michael Fallon, who said the UK’s forces will be “fully combat-capable".

He said: “That battalion will be defensive in nature, but it will be fully combat-capable.

“This is about two things: reassurance, and that needs to be done with some formidable presence, and deterrence.

"This is not simply a trip-wire. This is a serious military presence.”

Oh please. Like that token force means anything. It’s probably the weak-kneed British response to Ivan sailing his flotilla through the English Channel last week, calling attention to the fact that the UK can’t even put an aircraft carrier task force to sea these days.

Ditto!! The dirty secret is that the left loves war when they are in power and many conservatives can’t seem to understand prudently when force is necessary or when to not kick the hornets nest. Domestically, we are right at the brink of civil war. The uni-party wants all of us to take a big bite out of their shit sandwich and thank them for it.

we were thinking alike... I said that after they went into the Ukraine that Kallingrad Oblast would be the next group of Russian citizens that “need to be protected”.

Nobody should be sending tanks to the Russian border, and I doubt seriously that the UK would be that stupid.

What should Russia naturally think of such a move? It would be justified in thinking it was an act of intent to commit war.

Further, the reporting of such if not true, is a reckless abuse of the press. Because of it’s dire nature, it could result in the reporter, his boss, and the publication entity in being prosecuted for over the top provocation.

That’s complete BS. The Russians already did it to themselves and nothing really happened.

What border? The U.K. doesn’t have a common border with Russia.

Reminds me of a movie. In this movie the U.S. is trying to steal a Soviet boomer, with the help of its captain.

One of the lines in the movie goes something like this...

This stuff is going to get outta control. It is going to get outta control, and we will be lucky to live through this.

First person who gets the movie title, gets a beer.

Two “nice brand new and actually pretty small” (/sarcasm)Russian warships have just entered the Baltic Sea heading for Kaliningrad, less than 100 miles from Poland while the NATO is setting a panic saying it's a serious violation of the strategic balance and sends 800 (!) British soldiers and plans to dispatch 1000 US marines in Poland. This is a serious threat to Russia and no wonder Putin react angrily.

Aha, I nearly forgot. They have ab.50 middle range nuclear missiles on board with the power of 800kT each. All European states from Ireland to Greece, except perhaps Spain, qualify.

But, do not worry! 800 British happy smiling faces are on their way.

History taught them nothing.

"And to think the nazi’s put 3,000,000 troops on the Russian border. 800, really.."

Probably half of those 800 British "soldiers" are homosexuals and females. Putin is laughing. The West has become a pathetic joke.
