what is a blue screen? just wondering It's a movie technique. You shoot the actor in front of a blue screen, then you can put your desired background in behind them. Think Superman flying over Metropolis.

What the TV weather people use. They're standing in front of the blue or green screen back ground while th weather graphics are displayed on the monitor in front of them. The producer combines the images in for the final feed that gets broadcast or taped.
