It’s going to be interesting to see where this goes. My guess is probably nowhere, considering that is where everything else involving these criminals has gone.
However, I am going to go out on a limb and say that what has happened today is a very rare instance of a thing actually qualifying for a much overused term around these parts.
And that overused term is-

There are so many blatant crimes - like the CGI abuse, or Podesta accusing Obama of 2008 voter fraud, or Cheryl Mills saying we need to “clean this up” when talking about Obama emailing Hillary’s personal server. There is a lot in the way of real potential felonies that Carlos Danger, being a bit player in the Clinton psycho drama, cannot warrant this much scrutiny. Why would he have classified emails unless Huma stupidly shared them?
Punishing Weiner is far easier than punishing Hillary. Can that be the tie-in? Is Wiener going to die for Hillary’s sins? Yet Comey already fouled Hillary’s name, so he has to deliver something.
There was enough evidence back in July to put her under the jail for 200 years. He should have busted her and let the Dems run a real human.
Was Comey becoming ashamed of what serious people were saying about him? Andrew McCarthy was spot welding him on a daily basis. Comey deliberately destroyed the investigation into Hillary. Why come back now, with Weiner, and mention Hillary. Why didn’t he hunker down until election day, and then say something? It will all come out anyway.
the answer is that if he didn’t act, when everything becomes public in three weeks, he will look like a fool. What he knows now is that she is a criminal and that the public will feel ashamed by being tricked by the very institutions that they depended upon. Those institutions like the media, the FBI and the DOJ were silent with the knowledge of Hillary’s very bad actions and lied to the voters to get her elected.
Hillary cannot win. She may become President but this Pyrrhic victory will leave her bloody and weak. There will be no hesitation to impeach her. More than 65% of the country thinks she is a liar. It cannot work.

Here is a simple answer. Trump is going to win. When Trump is the new sheriff he is going to want scalps and lots of them. Does Comey want to be one of the scalps? Giuliani will probably be the AG. How many agents are going to be crucified? Wiener is the excuse to open everything again and do the right kind of investigation. Seems real clear to me.

Sometimes corruption is only skin deep. Sometimes it goes all way to boner.....bone! To the bone! I meant bone,....really.
I personally didn’t and don’t see anyway they could say Comey was meddling in the election. But the way the law sometimes works, I suppose THEY could figure out some way, in a legal, technical BS sense.

All true, however I think this is more of a CYA for Comey, his name is mud inside the FBI and with U.S. Attorneys. He’s now considered a dirty cop.
I think he knows that Assange and Kim Dotcom are legit and he knows what’s coming. He can no longer hide or protect Hillary, so he will now try to restore his reputation at her expense, and may well do so.
I suspect what Wikileaks and Kim Dotcom release before election night may still take Comey down. Regardless, his days as a power player in DC are numbered, and he knows it.
