Predictions:

Trump 299 Clinton 239

Transit strike in philly helps Trump he’ll win PA.

He’ll win NH and CO.

It looks very good.>>
ok except transit strike doesn’t impact people that walk to voting locations. this is a media meme.

“If the Senate loses the majority, they have only themselves to blame.”

Indeed.

2 other NH polls have Trump up 4 or 5, and outside the MOE, I believe.

If Hillary is so great, why does she have to have a team out there doing rallies? I never understood why that has not been brought up. She CLEARLY cannot win this on her own. And another thing. She wants to use Strong Woman nonsense all the time, but can’t deliver a Presidential win on her own? Crazy that GOP has not jumped on these two facts.

“If she had another surprise, she would have dropped it by now.”

The Access Hollywood tape was their big October Surprise, but they were forced to drop it early, in order to bury a Clinton scandal that emerged earlier in the same day.

Sadly for the Democrats, Trump has led a boringly scandal free life. Anything dirt they throw at him now, is totally manufactured.

“I’m going to make myself vote for Toomey...”

I felt the same way about having to vote for John Cornyn.

Ick...

I agree, unless she drops the Billy Boy tape this coming Monday.

Yeah, the voter fraud buffer requirement is one that’s tough to quantify since the pollsters don’t ask how many dead people do you know who will vote for your candidate of choice?

“I would think if they had anything left they would have dropped it by now”

I think they shot their wad with the Billy Bush tape, and have moved on to Plan B: cheat like their lives depend on it.

Still, there’s so much happening with the FBI investigation, there may be some very high level rejiggering of their strategy, as regards the whole election.

It may now be clear to the Clintons and their inner circle, that winning the election might put them all in graver danger, than simply standing down and letting the people have their way.

Think of the potential dynamics in play.

If the Clintons somehow got Hillary into the White House, the investigation would continue, possibly resulting in an indictment before Inauguration Day, with swift prosecution to follow. They could wind up as federal prisoners, and lose all of their ill-gotten gains.

If they step aside and let Trump have it, the people will be relieved to finally be rid of them, and there would be far less public pressure to bring them to justice. They’d probably still be forced to endure a painful investigation process, but in the end, they’d likely keep their freedom and at least a portion of their fortune.

That’s only a thumbnail sketch, and of course there are many more angles to each scenario, but these are, without a doubt, the two paths the Clintons are carefully weighing, at present.

It’s my guess that Bill will make the final call on which path they take, as he’s always been the brains of that outfit.

I’m going to make myself vote for Toomey but with his anti-Trump crap and gun control it’s a very unpleasant task.

“Unpleasant task”?

How about? I get to vote for Sen. Mark Kirk or the other democrat and as liberal as she is, she may be more conservative than Kirk.

I would imagine there are a lot of people in and around DC who are doing all kinds of calculations -- made more difficult by the uncertainty of knowing exactly what is in all of those emails. All I know is that if I were a Clinton, I would much rather have the power of the presidency, and all of the fear one can impose on others, with that power, than to face multiple investigations as a widely hated, formerly feared person, having created 3 decades worth of enemies, a lengthy paper trail, and with no real power left.

No, I doubt they give up. But many that they rely on may give them up.

As you said, "if I were a Clinton".

You may be right, but the dynamics of the country are such, that the Clintons would be facing, not just the usual legal hurdles and political foes, but the backlash of over half the population of the country. Bubba is crafty and ruthless, but he remembers what happened to Nicolai Ceaucescu.

The country is on a knife's edge, and could blow up at any time, given the right circumstance. I think all the leading actors on the national stage are acutely aware of this. They're being made even more aware of it by the sudden mutiny within the intelligence community, who've been emboldened by the Wikileaks revelations, the Veritas Project stings, and the volcanic ascension of Donald Trump.

The game has shifted greatly in favor of the white hats, and the Clintons know it. Even if they could somehow shut down the FBI investigation, there's nothing they can do to stop the flow of damaging information from Wikileaks, various hackers, Anonymous, and rogue elements within our own government. The truth is coming out one way or another.

Now, knowing all that, put yourself in Slick's shoes. Do you choose to walk into the fires of hell, or do you cut and run for your life?

It's crunch time, and he'd better choose right.

Doesn’t matter, if Kirk loses we could very well wake up the Chuckie Schumer as the Senate Majority Leader and that’s it.

Good points, but I still cannot get my head around the idea that we are in a position similar to Romania of the late 80s. Maybe we are (and, maybe, it is good that I chose to forgo a life of crime, since I clearly lack the instincts for it). But I still think that the good guys are facing a very uphill battle, especially if Trump loses. And that, five years from now, the Clintons will still be free to wallow in their own crapulence.

I agree that the country is on a knife’s edge. But normalcy bias being what it is, it is hard to really believe that a former president and his wife could ever face any *real* consequences, no matter how villainous, malevolent, and corrupt they have been.
