>>> Are these people really that stupid/brazen?

It has been said that she kept secrets from everyone in her staff... trusting nobody... keeping everyone in the dark about everything... and when you factor in that Parkinsons patients have difficulty making good judgments (unable to properly anticipate logical outcomes of their decision), then the answer to your question is yes... she IS that stupid.

She doesn’t trust anyone, and she cannot think straight.

Check the damn thing for finger prints and/or DNA. One stinking little hair falling into the keyboard might do it.

That was the first thing I was trying to figure out...whether it was the one ‘lost in the mail’.

I still believe Huma Abeden is a spy for the Muslim brotherhood and Hillary is not a fool. She knew about Huma’s background when she hired her as a young intern....

The FBI is not that dumb. This doesn’t even make sense.

So in that case, she’s not really a spy, more like a conduit. A go-between.

I’ve read that the NYPD has ghosted a copy of the drive before they gave it to the FBI.

If there is hot stuff on a lap top, you ditch it in the nearest river. You don’t leave it laying around.

The Ckintins crime syndicate is too smart for that.

Well remember, the emails were in a file marked “Life Insurance”. Arkancide happens.

This is possible, but it is also possible that Abedin had Hillary’s email password and was taking care of her email for her when she was “incapacitated.” If that is the case and she had a cloud with automatic backup it could also explain why these may be a mix of her and Hillary’s emails on the computer. That is a ridiculously large number of emails for anyone even allowing for years before and after her years at State.

It has been clear from the beginning that there was nothing more than an imaginary line between the foundation, CGI, and state for Hillary so if she used one email for all three (and she pretty much said so) there should be a very clear line on the corruption and favors granted for donations. Dare I say, it would be a roadmap the most ignorant juror could understand.

There is also ZERO chance that there is not a large amount of classified information among these emails. Looking at the 2071 statute it is 100% that it was violated and BY LAW none of them would be eligible to hold public office.... if someone charged it.

The real question now is “will a Grand Jury be convened?” While I agree with others that a special prosecutor is more than warranted in this case the real limitation from the beginning has been the lack of a Grand Jury and the inability to execute search warrants.

Wasn’t there a Wikileaks email that involved Weiner being asked to ship a secure phone to Hillary? Perhaps Weiner was also the one asked to ship the missing laptop somewhere. But he was too busy with his other hobbies and didn’t get the job done.

I’d wondered the same thing.

I mean, Platte River mailed a laptop (who does that with something as valuable as a laptop, especially with potentially classified info?), and it got “lost” in the mail? A thumb drive got lost the same way. As much fun as it is harshing on the postal service, they’ve NEVER lost anything for me.

I’d figured the laptop and thumb drive had just been destroyed, with the “lost in the mail” given as a semi-plausible excuse.

If you go and look at the 20-odd people around Hillary...my general impression that none of them are that bright or capable. They hung around Hillary and moved up....but in the real world....they would be doing a 9-to-5 job and probably making $40,000 a year.
