Man, this plays like either one of those old westerns where a corrupt rancher owns the town and everyone in it, or an old G-man show where they shoot it out with the mob, and kill them all.
This is so clearly a case of corruption, it just defies explaining it in any other terms.
I wasn't aware Morris made a prediction, it appeared to me that he was citing historical political facts. When Morris was Slick's campaign manger, he was the victim of Hillary's wrath when she called Morris a "fucking, Jew bastard."
