RALEIGH - The Latest on Election Day in North Carolina (all times local):

The Southern Coalition for Social Justice is among the organizations asking that polls stay open an extra hour in Durham County because of problems there.
The coalition and other organizations coordinating North Carolina's Election Protection Coalition sent a letter Tuesday to the State Board of Elections asking that polls close at 8:30 p.m. rather than 7:30 p.m.
The request came after a computer problem resulted in elections officials relying on a paper check-in process, resulting in at least one precinct running out of authorization-to-vote forms.
One of the buses must have broken down.
It takes more time to vote multiple times.

There’s no reason for “extended voting” as long as you can vote once you’re in line. The only “problem” that extended voting allows is for more buses to show up — and that has nothing to do with their computer problem earlier.

Voting is a right, but it also comes with some responsibility.If you can't get yourself registered to vote before the election, and vote within 14 hours...you're an idiot.

I find this confusing. What they are telling with this form is they are registering to vote at the time of the election, at the polls, on a form that requires the form must be filled out at least 25 days before the actual election. This entry is from the actual form:
Registration Deadlines:
• In order to vote in an election, this form must be
postmarked at least 25 days before the election, or hand
delivered or faxed to the local board of elections office
no later than 5:00 P.M. on the 25th day before the
election. If faxed, the original must be received no later than 20 days before the election.

This means they are illegally registering voters at the polls with a form they are not supposed to use or accept they are saying ran out at the polls when they could have got the form on line during the proper time frame because I just got it on line.
North Carolina is illegally allowing people to vote.
