I have some crow to eat myself. I thought women in the middle would win this for Hillary, and often said that we would need to nominate a woman to win.

"Never underestimate the power of a woman." Well, I underestimated their willingness to choose issues over identity politics.

On the bright side, this is the best crow I've ever eaten.

I’ve been one of the most positive people here and I had him losing PA and winning Wisconsin for 274. My most positive expectations have been blown away. A great feeling.

You are not alone. I, too was a hopeful but doubting Thomas.

Very thankful and doing my happy dance this morning!

I will say this, and all the haters can hate all they want.....with all the Walker elections and recall crap, Walker and Priebus have created an amazing get out the vote network n this state. I got at least eight calls and some personal from people I know. Now there’s been a lot of bad things said here about Walker and Priebus, but it was their network that got it the vote.

I stand humbled.

Me too.

I voted for Trump, I sent money to Trump, but I didn't believe he could win. And when the early returns started coming in last night, I resigned myself to what I believed to be true.

And then things started to change...

Best-tasting crow I'll ever eat!

I was not a fan of Preibus but as Trump secured the nomination the games ended and I had no complaints about the guy other than the occasional “GOP refusing to fund Trump” story which may not have been true (who knows) but were believable because back in the primaries Preibus was playing games, in my opinion, and that created a perception that games were possible to be played still. But it seems Trump values him a lot and he’s not a fool, if he says Reince is a superstar and invites him up to speak at the victory speech (the only one he did other than Pence!) then there’s no bad blood there at all.

A great many of us voted with our Lady SMARTS, instead of our lady parts! ;o)

A Federal appellate court strikes down Wisconsin’s state leg map an account of not enough communists were elected.

Imagine you are eating breakfast, say a bowl of oatmeal, suddenly Michael Moore bursts in, spreads his cheeks and goes #2 right onto your food. That’s how I left when I read this. This is intolerable.

Worse still “The three-judge panel didn’t order any immediate changes to district boundaries, instead saying they would give state attorneys and the voters who challenged the old maps 45 days to offer suggestions.”

Suggestions? For cripe sake. I suggest it would be a good thing if some patriots broke all window’s in your houses, you scum.

I read the dissent, and I would be shocked if SCOTUS would uphold the two-judge majority’s theory. Heck, I doubt that it would survive an en-banc rehearing at the 7th Circuit, even before a President Trump fills its two vacancies (the circuit currently has 6 GOP-nominated judges to 3 Democrat-nominated judges, with 2 vacancies that Obama has tried to fill but has seen blocked by McConnell and the GOP Senate).

If the WI Assembly map is deemed to be an unconstitutional gerrymander, then God help us all, because just about every single map drawn by a state legislature will have to be thrown out. It’s not going to happen.

I just read in the Washington Post that the case is likely to go straight to SCOTUS.

How serious is this ? What does it mean - in simple language - not attorney speak.

I am not an attorney so I can’t give you attorney speak anyway but what it means is some democrats sued Wisconsin claiming the State House district lines were unfair to them as they make it too hard to elect communists, and 2 POS Judges out of 3 agreed and ruled in their favor, though they have yet to impose a, remedy. It’s the most absurd redistricting ruling ever, most of them have centered on race, this ruling basically establishes democrat voters as a protected class.

See Auh2orepublican’s posts #54 and 55, hopefully this crap will be overruled.

Yep. this case is far from settled. They’re going to appeal it.
