I'm going to be honest, I don't get the Russia love around here as of late.

They are not our pals. They're a very capable and potentially very dangerous adversary, one worthy of respect. We should always keep that in mind when dealing with them.

With that said, I truly do believe that the election of DT has likely averted an armed conflict with Russia, thank God. Conventional conflict with nuclear armed nations don't remain conventional. That's a future that doesn't even bear thinking on. While Russia's interests and ours often diverge, we do share a common enemy in ISIS. We should engage them on that level and help each other resist and curtail the growth of ISIS.

Cautiously, however. Very cautiously. I always keep in my mind that whole Gog and Magog deal that the Bible speaks of. That's why I'm always a bit nervous about the Russians.

The obvious antidote to that is to strengthen our relationship with Israel, as Trump seems very interested in doing. I've long felt that one of the requirements for the long term survival of our people is for us to be an ally and friend to God's people in Israel.

the idea being, those that rely entirely on their own human power and efforts....will eventually be defeated ... by those that maintain a faith in God (so that many of the endtimes predictions may work out pretty much right...........Israel/Jerusalem will not fall but rather will (with their renewing faith) Israel will ultimately succeed in defeating the combination of hostile/pagan/IslamoNazi-Satan-worshipping/secular WHATEVER basically non-believing (in the one True God) invaders or attackers..............................Israel will defeat the enemies of God, but with her faith including and not relying entirely or solely on their own human powers...alone....God will help His People. As is a consistent Divine Promise throughout Holy Scripture.
Which all means, it is up to Russia (or America, or Europe, or anyone else) to decide which side they choose to be on, to attack the Jewish state (and be defeated), or to help Israel (and be in the winning side). Genesis 12:3 Whether Russia decides to be on the wrong side or not, is not to me right now absolutely clear. Putin has been trying to stand up for Christians in the middle east, and he also has been quite positive, friendly to the Church in Russia.
SO, we can dismiss Putin as deceptive if we wish, and he could well be. BUT he’s been quite consistent with his pro-faith stance for some years. If this is at all genuine, then maybe...just maybe...possibly..Russia may NOT bein the unHoly alliance. we will see...
