The North Carolina governor's race was too close to call early Wednesday, with Republican incumbent Pat McCrory and Democratic challenger Roy Cooper neck-and-neck in an election that mimicked a referendum on the state's rightward political shift, including the law McCrory signed limiting LGBT rights.

With some cast votes yet to be reported, Cooper was only about 3,700 votes ahead of McCrory out of more than 4.6 million counted, according to totals posted by the State Board of Elections.

Wasn’t Roy Cooper the substitute DA for Mike Nifong who finally exonerated the Duke Lacrosse players?

Actually, Durham County “found” 90,000 absentee ballots late last night that cost McCrory the election. He was ahead by 53,000 votes when the board of elections sent out the tweet about “finding” the ballots.

At this point, the NCGOP may fight to have that examined, but who knows? They also have not counted provisional and military ballots, from what I understand. Those could put McCrory back on top, but IMHO the key will be those “lost” ballots and whether or not the NCGOP and McCrory will push for an investigation.

President Trump and his Justice Department will enforce religious liberty in EVERY state.

The NBA and NCAA will not have anywhere to go that pushes their transgender bathroom agenda else risk getting sued by the US government.

It is going to be nice to use the full power of the federal government AGAINST the leftist, for once.

This whole thing smells rotten. NCGOP should definitely investigate. Roy Cooper is as sleazy as they come.
