I’ve lived in CA since ‘94. It is getting progressively (no pun intended) worse...the Southern Counties used to be red not too long ago...and my county, Kern, used to be DARK red, now a pink...it’s just a matter of time now.

I am currently looking for an escape “route”...there is not enough of us left to carry on the fight. Couldn’t even generate enough signatures on petitions to fight “gunmaggedon”.

CA is toast IMO.

Four years ago, Romney won Orange County by 90,000 votes; this time, Trump lost the same county by about 40,000 votes. Four years ago, Obama won San Diego County by 50,000 votes; Clinton received a 125,000 vote margin this time. In 2012, the San Joaquin Valley was solidly red; this time, it was a red-blue patchwork. In contrast, Trump matched Romney's figures in the “collar counties” around Philadelphia. Around Detroit, Trump improved over Romney's performance in the “collar counties”. Ditto for Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Trump did better in the outer suburban counties around NYC as well, but that is likely due to home state advantage. Hillary Clinton has a similar benefit in the greater Chicago area.

The conservative population of California is dying, converting to liberalism, or emigrating.
