President Obama has described Donald Trump as ignorant, dangerous and unfit to lead the nation, but he’ll ask the Republican president-elect Thursday not to wipe out his cherished, legacy-making executive actions on everything from the Iranian nuclear deal to Obamacare.

In a meeting at the White House to prepare Mr. Trump for taking office, Mr. Obama will try to persuade the president-elect to honor what his aides call a “tradition” of preserving executive actions implemented by the departing chief executive.

“There is a tradition, particularly with regard to executive agreements of successive presidents preserving some element of continuity,” said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. “I don’t know whether or not that will apply in this case. But as a part of this effective, smooth transition, President Obama

“Well, Barry, my people are getting our perspectives on your EO’s detailed as we speak. Right now, you really need to get your people off the streets and under control. They look silly.”

” Actually, wasn’t it TCruz who promised to remove all the Obama executive orders?”

Actually, Cruz promised to remove all the “unconstitutional and illegal” Obama executive orders.

I would decline any meetings with Obama. It’s not necessary, and the change over is what the support staff is for.

Smooth if you do it my way.

Yeah...or else Soros will fund a never-ending protest movement. Last night was only the beginning.

Job 1: Revoke Soros' citizenship for attempting to overthrow the duly constituted government of the United States and deport him back to Hungary as an undesirable alien, but when Hungary refuses to accept him ...

I KNOW Putin would love to get his hands on ol' George to satisfy some outstanding warrants.

Freepers have been asking who initiated the Trump protesters taking to the streets. I believe this is a message to Trump before the meeting today with Obama to comply and “compromise” or he can expect more of the same.

Oddly enough, Obama's intention to do this was mentioned in Wikileaks. Doug posted it here

WIKILEAKS: In 2008 Podesta discussed executive orders to be reversed

Here's the direct link to Wiki

Perhaps more importantly, it appears that Podesta & Co were reversing EOs at the behest of 'Big Donors':

Is there somebody who understands “executive orders”to answer a very big donor?

Was that the original Walking Tall, based on the true story, or one of the later versions based on fantasy?

In 2009 McStain went to meet Obama and asked him to enact policies that McStain pushed during the campaign. Obama famously said to him “I won”...

BHO is gonna sign an EO that Trump can’t rescind any EO’s. Tradition...we also had a tradition of congress not POTUS making law too once upon a time

Heard yesterday that the senate may consider the SC nomination. Bet this is all involved. We know they would love to push TPP through too.

I NEVER trust any of the POSs running our government and if they let the nomination come to a vote that will cement that feeling. Trump better not cave on this, he has nothing to gain by placating jug ears unless The Turd knows he can get the nomination in exchange to keep TPP from coming to a vote.
