Two days after Donald Trump was elected president of the United States, two Portlanders have submitted a petition for a 2018 ballot initiative to have Oregon secede from the United States.
On Thursday morning, Jennifer Rollins, a lawyer, and Christian Trejbal, a writer, filed the Oregon Secession Act.
"Oregonian values are no longer the values held by the rest of the United States," Trejbal said over the phone Thursday.
Those values? "Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness," Trejbal said, "plus equality."
"Obviously," he said, the ballot proposal "came about partially in response to the election results on Tuesday."
"But," he added, "it's been developing over time."

Sure, they can take the thin blue areas near the coast of Oregon, Washington, Kalifornica, but absolutely NOT the red parts or San Diego as we get a Pacific port.
So South Carolina seceded because a Republican was elected. And now Oregon wants to secede because a Republican was elected. The democrats never change!

If CA, OR and WA want to secede, let’s not stop them.

Well, now the conservatives can win big with no California or Oregon in the Electoral college, but there is the problem of zero votes. I hate to say it, but secession is the beginning of the end. It is an opportunity for an enemy to strike.
They have the right to secede, but Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene don’t have the right to take the entire state with them. The same is true of California and other Blue states. They are only Blue because of a few corrupt cities. Let them form modern city-states.
BDS will be replaced with TDS....and so much for Democrats accepting the results of our election - I guess the only time they like the result is when a Republican is conceding.....
