Columnist David Brooks is the house "conservative" of the New York Times which means he is currently busy consoling his fellow liberals over Donald Trump's election victory. Brooks, in his column today titled The View From Trump Tower but which could more accurately be labeled "The View From Ivory Tower," describes texting people "off the ledge." Ironically it is Brooks himself who leaps off that ledge at the end of his column due to his extreme Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Perhaps since Tuesday, he’s been flatlining?
Brooks is insane as most Democrats.
Well, yes, David, it’s “in our gene pool.”
He owns Jeb Bush too.
Yes. Divine intervention for certain. I’ve always believed that God loves America and led our Founding Fathers.
So many people were praying for evil to be defeated in this election and against all odds, it was. Nothing short of a miracle. God does a good job.
Given his deep hatred I’m surprised he didn’t add” or assassinated”
McCain, Graham, Rubio, Alexander, Corker, Hatch, Flake, Hoeven, Heller, Murkowsky all voted for Gang of Eight, he probably owns them too.
NO, none of my social circle are Leftists. I do have a few leftist friends on Twitter who know clearly what I am and that we are not alike. Brooks is not a Conservative.
The whole “obamaphone” thing was actually a program started by George Bush. Trac phone got the juicy government contract, Jeb Bush happened to be invested in heavily in Trac Phone and Carlos Slim happened to own Trac Phone and Jeb and Carlos are known to be close. That’s how the Bush influence game is played.
Brooks should really use some vaseline on his anus next time.
“David Brooks makes a fool of himself...yet again.”
I think that’s correct. Here’s how Brooks supports his conclusion:
(1) This is victory for white supremacy, people wrote, for misogyny, nativism and authoritarianism. Fascism is descending.
(2) The disgusted posture [of Trump’s supporters] risks turning politics into a Manichaean civil war between the alleged children of light and the alleged children of darkness between us enlightened, college-educated tolerant people and the supposed primitive horde driven by dark fears and prejudices. That crude and ignorant condescension is what feeds the Trump phenomenon in the first place.
(3) Populism of the Trump/Le Pen/Brexit variety has always been a warning sign, a warning sign that there is some deeper dysfunction in our economic, social and cultural systems.
(4) [Trump’s] main problem is going to be his own attention span, ignorance and incompetence.
(5) [Trump’s] going to add walls, protectionism and xenophobia.
(6) Ive been thinking we need a third party. This compassionate globalist party would support the free trade and skilled immigration that fuel growth.
His conclusion: the guy will probably resign or be impeached within a year.
His column promises to be fun reading by us Trumpsters.
Clinton 'Will Probably Die or Be Indicted Within a Year'
Obama 'Will Probably Come Out of the Closet Within a Year'
Utter foolishness! I remember when Reagan first came in when I was in high school. Everyone thought the world was ending, and yet he turned out to be a great president. I’m sensing that Trump has at least the potential to pull off the same trick.
Brooks has been right so far so ....
Has he stated what Trump would be impeached for?
Haha ... so right!
I’m of the firm opinion that if God can use Balaams’s ass to get the job done, he can use a humble(d) Donald Trump.
I predict that David Brooks will leave the NYT and get a job as a hot dog vendor on the streets of New York. (This has just about as much credibility).
The insanity of TDS is already eclipsing that of BDS.
