Trump is mixed bag for Russia. On the one hand he is not going to start WWIII by shooting down Russian jets to help Islamist rebels overthrow Assad in Syria. He will be an ally against radical Islam that threatens all along Russia’s borders. On the other hand he is also not the kind of pushover that is going to allow Russia to invade their neighbors.
Trump needs something to offer to Russia for their agreement to stay out of Iran when we decide to eliminate their nuke capability.
And Russia wants nothing more than Ukraine.
All we would have to do is drop the sanctions and agree not to intervene militarily....while reinforcing NATO.
