Trump on Friday told the WSJournal it means working with Russia in Syria against ISIS, and no longer fighting against Russia in Syria

This NY Times columnist suggests Trump will appoint John McCain-type Republicans who will do the opposite. In other words, he thinks Trump is stupid. I don’t agree and you shouldn’t either

I don't think Putin has much interest in fighting ISIS-- he will leave the dirty work to us and continue to support the Syrian regime.

What's in it for us?

The only thing I can see Putin offering in the Mid East is pulling away from Iran, which I doubt he will do.
