We have been savoring the victory here on FR, but with the exception of a handful of media “hosts” like Hannity, Dobbs, Ingraham and Pirro, the media has reported it as a tragedy, even during the “honeymoon”.
Trump’s “honeymoon” period, such as it is, will set records for shortness.
Almost everything we see or read is filtered by a media that has open contempt for Trump and the people who voted for him.
They will do their best to make it appear that most people didn’t want him, and that those who did are ignorant, were mislead and have regrets. His successes will not be reported as successes. Yet this wil be a lie.
We MUST find ways to take away their monopoly over the media, and weaken its grip, its influence, it’s power over us.
We have to stop thinking its in any way humorous when SNL mocks us and and depicts our heroes as deviants, morons and tyrants while treating their own heroes (who actually fit those descriptions) with kid gloves.
Nothing the media has to say is true, relevant, newsworthy, entertaining or the least bit funny. I think we all have to do a better job of making it go away by choosing not to watch, not to laugh, not to gawk, not to pay lip service, not to be entertained.
We are like the crowds at the Roman collosium - if we all got up and left there would be no more carnage.
We have to boycott boycott boycott - even friends repeating something ‘funny’ Bill Mahr said or a ‘news’ item a family member brings up. We can’t let the “liberal”, “progressive” media and their followers control the language and distort what our words mean.
There never was a honeymoon, and there won't be one.
The press honeymoon with Obama is ongoing. They aren't going to practice journalistic bigamy.
