Two College Students Under Investigation Over Trump Celebration Victory Lap
Law Newz ^

Two Babson College students are reportedly in trouble after their idea of Donald Trump victory celebration was too much for some to handle.

According to a Boston Globe report, the two fraternity brothers placed a large Trump flag in the back of a pickup truck and drove through the streets of nearby Wellesley College, a women’s liberal arts college that also happens to be Hillary Clinton’s alma mater.

A brief video of the alleged incident was posted to Facebook on Thursday.

The incident was upsetting to some on the Wellesley campus and reports indicate police were called to put an end to the celebration. Some reports have also popped up online that suggest the men were in fact stopped by police officers and told to leave the campus immediately, or face trespassing charges.

When word of the incident spread back to officials at Babson College. The reaction was swift and harsh.

In the course of their celebration, the students apparently drove past Wellesley’s Harambee House, which reportedly serves as campus center for minority students. This has led some Babson College officials to conclude the students behavior was possibly racially motivated.

Lawrence P. Ward, vice president of student affairs at Babson, issued a statement that said the incident was under investigation because the “students’ behavior was experienced by many students of color and perceived by many others . . . as racially offensive and gender demeaning.”

The two students were also immediately kicked out of their fraternity by the Sigma Phi Epsilon national office, which issued a statement calling the conduct “abusive, misogynistic behavior [that] has no place in our society.”

Wellesley’s Honor Code Council, however, is calling for stronger even punishment and issued a letter asking for the students to be expelled from the college, immediately.

In response to that letter, Babson College officials sent their own letter to students at Wellesley on Friday morning that promised “appropriate actions” are being taken to address the matter.

The student’s behavior represented immature gloating and taunting, and merits - at worst - a trespassing charge. But the “racist” and “sexist” allegations are just predictable liberal add-ons. When college football players taunt opponents, they are penalized fifteen yards, not thrown off the team, and if a black player taunts a white player, nobody yells “racism.”

Across the country since Tuesday’s election, there have been many reports of intimidation of women, African-Americans, immigrants, Muslims, and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
...
The Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights organization, reported Friday that it had collected information on 201 incidents of intimidation and harassment related to Trump’s victory.

Line breaks are your friend but I also want to delve into this Boston Globe BIAS article. The equating of post-election remarks as intimidation demonstrates the PC attack of 'micro-aggression' and the citing of the well-known SPLC as a civil rights organization rather than a committed LEFTIST pressure group shows where the Globe stands, or rather sinks!

I will remind the readers that, at least one reported incident of a type reported in this Globe article, that of a burqa being torn-off a female Muslim student in Lafayette, LA, has been retracted and the student is subject to false-reporting laws. I wonder if her report is included in the SPLC count?

“I’m not a racist. I’m not a bigot. I’m not homophobic."

Then why did your apology make it sound like you were confessing to all of the above, and why did you suggest that your pro-Trump flag was intended to explicitly insult those groups? If you weren't being racist or homophobic, don't apologize for racism or homophobia.

Why does Wellesley have segregated housing?

The press doesn't count the mobs of leftists roaming the streets and breaking windows as "intimidation." I live in the Seattle suburbs, and would not venture into Seattle with ANY kind of conservative bumper sticker on my car, much less a Trump sticker. To do so would virtually guarantee that my car would be vandalized.

The Seattle Times is currently trolling for examples of intimidation or harassment by Trump supporters. If I had a Trump hat, I'd put it on and walk down Seattle's Broadway Avenue, in the heart of the most leftist area in town. I bet I would receive a hundred taunts in three blocks, if not a physical attack. Then I'd report to the Times.

Appropriate actions should have been driving through with a 100 such flags and the two who started the idea get a whole page in the year book.

Harambee House was where Hellary and her lesbian roommate lived for four years.

Reminds me of The Godfather.

Either your Signature or your Brains will be on that Contract.

Too bad the Kid blinked. He probably felt his Life would be ruined for expressing his First Amendment Rights.

Remember, they call US Nazis.

>> This has led some Babson College officials to conclude the students behavior was possibly racially motivated.

Bring a suit against the school and charge the officials with racial discrimination.

That’s what I was wondering.

It couldn’t be directed at the men celebrating Trump, it’s just hard to believe anyone on this website could be so mentally confused.

The groveling of the collectivist victims is disgusting.

The extent of the totalitarianism bigotry of the left is horrifying.

Anytime a liberal is upset, the first thing they say is that it is unforgivable.

Their only response to any apology is that it’s not enough.

Someone should take a baseball bat to the administrators who have created, maintained and protected this hate (btw, that’s protected speech in Hollywood now - just ask it’s resident dog-ass-ugly bull dyke).

“Really? Harambe?”

I caught that too. Maybe they they should consider changing their racist name to something more culturally acceptable like “The Silver Back club” or the “Field Hand and House Club” /s

I’d send them to Cuba. And not the Potemkin Village version that the Cuban government allows tourists to see.
